As parents, we have to control what our kids are exposed to. Media can be a dangerous ground where kids can learn all sorts of things that may influence them negatively.
We have to be on guard too and check if the kids video games are not too violent for their age. There have been stories of kids being so hooked in violent games that they end up having a violent nature. Sometimes they even neglect their schoolwork and become reclusive.
The techie age sees kids as young as 5 years old who are able to operate the computer. They are able to navigate their way through the icons with a few clicks of the mouse. The toy companies have taken advantage of this by designing educational computer games for children.
More and more parents are finding these games useful and helpful for their kids. It has also given them an alternative to the more violent and action packed video games that have been popular with the older kids.
