Most digital cameras are also equipped with a digital video camera feature. This way, one can shift from still mode to moving mode with just a click of the buttons. The video feature is usually stored in .wmv or .mpeg format and can be uploaded on a computer or stored in a disc for future viewing.

The length of the video to be recorded will depend on the memory card. The larger the memory, the longer the video you can take. There is a wide selection of digital video cameras to choose from and most are lightweight and easy to use.

One of the biggest parts of having a child is to capture all the moments of my daughter’s firsts. After I was unable to have the first time she lifted her head up by herself on tape, I went out and bought a digital video camera. 

Now I’m able to get the rest of her firsts – her first time eating solid foods and her first time crawling by herself.  I’ll never be unprepared again!
