Sometimes it’s hard to give a gift to your special someone. Of course you want to make sure that they will love and treasure whatever you give them. But even after going to three malls and scouring all the shops for that perfect gift, you can’t seem to choose. Sometimes it is better if we made a personalized gift basket for our loved ones. That way, they can see the time and effort we gave in making the basket for them.

To make a personalized gift basket, you have to consider first what are your special someone’s hobbies and likes. Is he into sports? Does she love running and keeping fit? After this, search for a couple of significant items that can be use as something like a center piece. It’s also a good idea to add an activity to the basket, like making your loved one find clues until she finds the basket. You can also add food items, fillers, and a funny item.

My best friend knows me very well. She’s aware how much I hate gloomy and rainy days. On my last birthday, she gave me a candle gift set with a note that said “Light during dark days”. I am so grateful for that thoughtful gesture because those candles did a lot to cheer me up yesterday.

It was overcast outside and the sun was nowhere to be found. The garden seems so empty without the flowers that are still to come in spring. Instead of dwelling on the scene, I took out one several scented candles and lit them. Within minutes, my room was filled with the heady aroma of spring and for a time, I felt as if enveloped by a warm ray of sunshine and surrounded by beautiful blooms all around.

I come from a family who loves to eat. I love Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Asian, American, Spanish, French, European and Mexican food. I even adore snacks. I treasure my quiet afternoons when I can have some snacks before dinner. I also grew up raiding the fridge for midnight snacks. Once at a gourmet store I saw on display an array of snack gift baskets.

There are plenty of gift baskets available online and in supermarkets today. The best ones are the ones that are available in gourmet stores. They may cost more than others but they sure are worth it. There are cheeses, snacks, chocolates, patisseries from all over the world. There are even baskets that come with wine.

There are so many spas today. Several years ago spas were expensive and not that accessible. Today spas are in malls, in your neighborhood and even in your office building. Each time there are ads on spas you often see a woman relaxing in a massage bed with candles around her. Candles seem to evoke relaxation. This is why a candle gift basket may be a good idea for women who love going to spas and relaxing.

A candle gift basket comes in different shapes and sizes. You can choose from different candle combinations. Typically a gift basket would contain scented candles. It would be delightful to get candle gift basket with oversized pillar candles and small floating candles as well. You can place the oversized candles as your centerpiece and the floating candles in your bathroom.

Some of the most appreciated gifts are those made from the heart. The next time you want to give something special but can’t think of a particular present, try making a homemade gift basket instead. First, start looking for a basket with enough depth for filling in the bottom. It can be with or without a handle.

Next, think of your recipient’s hobbies and interests. Kids may prefer toys, candies and cookies; a mom may love getting scrap-booking goodies and other crafts supplies; while a dad might appreciate different kinds of gourmet coffee and thin biscuits. Think of a theme then buy the necessary items. Arrange these prettily inside the basket then tie a big bow on the handle or basket’s side.

Being a student of interior design, I like designing homes for people. Having a father who is an architect I grew up seeing different styles of houses. I liked seeing the faces of peoples when they see their new houses. Today when I get invited to a housewarming parties, I like bringing housewarming gift baskets. These baskets are pretty and always delight the giver.

There are several housewarming gift baskets to choose from. What makes them so irresistible is the packaging. The baskets usually come in the shape of a house. Some houses double as cookie jars. The most common gift is cookies and cake. When I have my own house I want a lot of chocolate chip cookies as gifts.

thank you gift baskets

A gift basket is an apt way of saying thank you to somebody who may have given you a huge favor; or someone who is constantly by your side through thick and thin. It is a gracious way of saying thank you to your parents who have never stopped helping you as you struggle through your own path in life. They will appreciate thank you gift baskets once in a while. You can add things like mom’s favorite magazine, knitting set, a good cooking book etc. For dad you can buy his favorite football team’s jersey, his favorite perfume, CD of old songs etc

Parents are not particular about the things that you give them. It may be an inconsequential little item that you thought they could use. They will love it and show their appreciation by actually using it. They are the easiest people to please. What matters to them is that you remember.
