Special Day

Tuesday, February 28, 2012
posted by GiftGiver 1:53 PM

Our teacher is celebrating her birthday this week, and as her students we feel like we owe it to her to show our appreciation for all that she has done for us. She is not the usual teacher you would often come across, and you can really see that she considers her job more than just a task to pay the bills; she had made it her vocation and mission to influence her students. Everyone in the class decided to pitch in for this.

We looked online for a potential teacher gift which we can get for her given the budget that we have. There were a lot of options available in the market, so we proceeded to put the choice into a vote. We have the item delivered and all wrapped up, and we hope that she gets to appreciate the small token that we have for her. This is a small thing given the sacrifices she had given in order to make our futures something we can all look forward to.

Survival Guide

When you are planning a trip outdoors, enthusiasts will probably advice you to gear up. And when they mean gear up, it really is serious. There are a number of things or circumstances you may be faced with in this place which definitely is not your territory. And like everyone else who dares to take up on the challenge, you have to go prepared.

These trips are not as scary as one thinks, it is simply best to have everything you need with you in order to make it as enjoyable and safe. There are times when you have to protect yourself with Gerber Bear Grylls or let yourself loose after stumbling in a chunk of mess you cannot get out of. Whatever the reason, a survival knife is always a crucial part of your gear, and you should never go without it.

Medieval Look

As a party planner I have experienced planning for some of the most charming, to the ultimately outrageous, to the wildest events one would never thought possible. Each person would have a certain personality in them that is distinctively unique from other people. This is why I am always keeping my mind open to various ideas and help create the plans they have in their heads.

One of my recent clients wanted a medieval themed party for his wife. I told them that there was no problem with that, as I already had a company party with just the same theme. I got some decorative pieces such as battle shields which would help spruce up the space, and set off to make invitations which would reflect the theme of the party. These are just a few things I have to handle, but there is nothing too hard that I can take care of given my level of experience.

Kitchen Wonders

For a person like me who is definitely into cooking, I spend a lot of money just to make sure that I have everything I need with me. This helps me to ensure that every session I get to spend in my kitchen is just perfect. I am not hesitant to spend not only to make the kitchen fully functional, but beautiful as well. After all, this is the place where I get to spend most of my time in.

One of the things I love about my kitchen is the decorative pot racks I have. It makes it look so shabby and stylish, while allowing me to keep all my pots and pans in one place. It also helps a lot on saving me the storage space I need in order for me to have an area where I can keep all the other utensils I need. This is a great piece which combines both form and function.

For A Cause

My brother is one of the volunteers for this youth jamboree happening in a few weeks from now. As a teacher, he has always had that passion for teaching and leading kids to the right way. Our father was also a teacher, and a wonderful one at that. I guess my brother would want to follow his footsteps and do something to contribute to the future generations of this country.

Since they will be spending a few days in the woods, I need to make sure that my brother is fully equipped when that happens. I have gotten him one of those survival knives which I saw on the internet which can be very handy for trips like this. This way he would be able to protect himself and make sure that he is able to be in full control of the happenings in the jamboree.

Kids These Days

Since I have no kids yet, I tend to spoil my nephews as much as I can. They are much disciplined when it comes to their parents, so I try to balance everything off by giving the things which their parents tend to restrict them from. This is why they usually come off running to me especially for their special requests. Their parents are long divorced so I have managed to help them in recovering from the issue.

Their latest request from me is some hockey fan gear which they have been dying to get their hands on. I have gone the extra lengths to enroll them in hockey classes to get their minds off the problems at home, and also to get them hooked in a particular sport which is good for their overall condition. Being the sole responsible person for getting them hooked on hockey, I would also have to get them the latest gear we can possibly find.

Getting Advice

When a person gets to invest in a boat for the first time, it is crucial to make sure that he is also able to invest in a number of things which will help him lengthen the use of his boat. These things do not come off cheap, and those who purchase the same would not want to replace it right away only because they have failed to take care of their investments properly. Boats are a luxury item which not everyone is able to own in their lifetime.

New boat owners would need some expert advice in where to get the best boat covers. These things are crucial item pieces which can lengthen the life of the boat extensively. This is a small price to pay in ensuring that the boat would be enjoyed for many years to come. Value for money is important particularly for items which are quite expensive to invest on.

Good Deal

posted by GiftGiver 6:11 PM

For a practical mother like me, I need to make sure that I get to prioritize the things we would need for the family and spend whatever is left extra on the things which our kids would request from my husband and I. I need to make sure that the budget allotted for the month will cover all the expenses in the home, so I tend to be very picky about the things I buy for my kids. I also look for good deals around so I can increase my savings and allot the same for other things we may eventually need to buy.

Kids would always look for toys they can play with, so I am always on the lookout for discounts on radio flyer wagon. These things are the very same ones I used to play with as a little girl, and I want them to experience the same fun I had with this kind of toy. I remember placing all my dolls on the wagon and coming over to my neighbor’s house in order to play with her. These are memories I also want my kids not to miss out on.

It’s A Date

My boyfriend and I are celebrating our first anniversary together, and I must say that I am pretty excited and tense for what surprise he may have for me. He refrained from mentioning what he has in store, only that I would need to pack my bags for the weekend and be prepared to spend a few days with him. I am not too sure about what we will be doing, but I simply trusted him and went on with his plan.

I had everything all prepared and even got him a really cool gift which I know he would love. He collects custom leather cuffs, so I got him one which he can add to his collection. This way, I would be able to share something which he’d be reminded of me whenever he wears the same. I hope this is more than enough for whatever surprise he has in store for me this weekend.

Office Perks

Monday, February 20, 2012
posted by GiftGiver 12:30 PM

I am happy to be included in an organization which recognizes the efforts of people whenever they have done such a great job at work. We would usually have certain perks and rewards if we are able to deliver much more than is expected of us, or whenever we would be achieving certain targets which we have set on a periodic basis. This helps me to try in achieving more and performing better at work.

The least a person would get from the office are snack gift baskets which we can munch on while we work around the office. Now, these things are not so bad considering the great treats contained in them. I once got a basket when I was able to perform satisfactorily at work, and I spent the entire two weeks just finishing up the entire basket’s contents.
